Sonlife Classic is Back!

December 2008

Dear Classic Sonlife Trainers and Alumni,

After much prayer and discussion with a team of Sonlife veterans and a number of emerging leaders, last October the decision was made to relaunch the classic Sonlife training under a new organization named Sonlife Classic.

For the last year we have been fine-tuning a new strategy of delivery, developing web based support, updating the Classic resources, and praying through a new vision for this "next-generation".

While much work yet needs to be done, I want to encourage you with four ways to participate in helping us reach a new generation of disciple-makers:

  1. PRAY that God would surface emerging leaders who are passionate about the character and priorities of Jesus. Take a moment right now and pray Matthew 9:27!

  2. GO to our new web site at www.sonlifeclassic.com:
    • Read about our new 2:6 strategy (taken from I John 2:6).
    • Sign up for e-mail updates on the Home page of the web site. We will use e-mail as our primary communication - especially for our Fall 2009 Conference to communicate the new 2:6 strategy.
    • Bring a team of students to SEMP at Moody Bible Institute July 6-11, 2009 or go to www.nycm.org for a family version of SEMP for the whole church, July 18-25, 2009.
    • Purchase the new resource KNOWING HIM, and receive free the first 15 Leaders Podcasts for this new resource (a $10 value) using Coupon Code KNOWHIM08 (redeemable at the Sonlife Classic Store).

  3. HOST a new 2:6 Strategy seminar in your region by contacting Amy Horine at the Sonlife Classic office (309) 807-2459 or Don Roscoe at (517) 852-1783. (We can also provide the Growing A Healthy Church training if desired).

  4. TELL other classic Sonlife alumni about the relaunch and encourage them to sign up on the new web site! E-mail will be our primary means for communication.
Forward this e-mail to a Friend

Working with a team of young leaders and classic Sonlife Veterans, I will be giving directional leadership to the relaunch while remaining President of Global Youth Initiative. With many of us feeling a deep concern for the emerging generation, we are stepping out in faith to do what we can to "complete the work" the Lord has called us to. (John 17:4, Col 4:17, Acts 20:24).

I'd love to hear from you. I can be reached at if you have any input for me.

Thanks for praying with us for this next generation of disciple makers.

Going ever deeper in Jesus,

Dr. Dann Spader
