Our New Strategy for Multiplication:
Built upon lessons learned from disciple making models around the world, we envision the next generation of Sonlife Classic trainers developing “2:6 Mentoring Groups” eager to learn about the Life of Christ. Committing to two years of ongoing training and investment, these “2:6 Groups” will meet regularly over a period of time to study the Life of Christ and apply these lessons to ministry. Using newly written training manuals and support resources, these leaders will meet for a minimum of 16 days over a chosen period of time. We envision that most will choose to meet quarterly for a two-day period… doing study and practical assignments in between meetings. Some may choose to meet monthly or even weekly.
Coming out of these gatherings will be deepened friendships, accountability, coaching, and ongoing learning and sharpening. Each participant in these “2:6 Groups” will be equipped to multiply a number of updated Sonlife Classic resources within their own ministry and with other leaders.
These “2:6 Groups” will revolve around the three core values of training, coaching, and mentoring (TCM). We will train for understanding, coach for implementation, and then mentor for multiplication.
Over this year, we are field testing several of these “2:6 Groups” and then in the Fall of 2009, we will conduct a Trainers' Conference to develop coaches for these “2:6 Groups”… allowing others to engage in the same process. If you’d like to be kept informed of this 2:6 Trainers’ Conference…
